How to measure yourself
At Fox & Rose we never underestimate the importance of a well fitting bra. It can totally transform your shape; elongate a short torso by lifting the breasts, create voluptuous curves and provide the perfect foundations from which to work with.
There seems to be a wealth of information out there as to how to find your size yet in actual fact it is a relatively simple undertaking. So let us take you through the following steps to learn how;
Taking your measurements:
1 Band Size
Firstly take a fabric tape measure and measure round your ribcage, directly under your bust. Make sure to breath out first and pull tightly (you want the band of your bra to fit very snugly as this is what offers the breast support and not the shoulder straps). This is your under bust measurement.
To calculate your band size all you need do is add 4inches to an even number and five to an odd. Hence if your under bust measurement is 30inches your band size will be 34inches and if you measure 29 your band size will also be 34.
2 Cup Size
The best way to measure your cup size is to put on a soft, underwire bra and with the tape measure horizontal to the floor measure the fullest part of your bust. This is your bust measurement.
To find out your cup size subtract your under bust measurement from your bust measurement. Each inch difference between the two equates to one cup size. So for example if your under bust measure is 34’ and your bust size measures 38’ there is a four inch difference which makes you a 34d.
